Congratulations Trekkers!

Congratulations to our New Year Killi Climbers!

As the sun dawned on a new day and year on the morning 1st January 2015 - our group of 25 intrepid trekkers successfully reached the summit of Kilimanjaro - seeing in the New Year from a different perspective!

New Year Kili News Story

After setting off from London on boxing day - opting for fresh air and trekking over another box of Quality Street and Dr Who re-runs - our group took on the 6 day Machame route up to the summit. Blessed with good weather and great views of the summit it is an experience not to be forgotten.

"I loved every second and never had a down moment. I doubt I will ever top this!"

Isle of Wight '14

Iow Challenge Logo Rgb

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to all of our 509 Isle of Wight Challengers who took on the island over the bank holiday weekend -  and made the weekend one we will never forget! For it's first year the Isle of Wight Challenge can be described as our toughest challenge yet - but also one of our most stunning! We are completely in awe at the determination and sense of spirit everyone showed - and for many it was their longest challenge yet!

We are excited to announce that for 2015 the Isle of Wight Challenge will take place over the May bank holiday weekend - 2nd - 3rd May so get it in your diaries now. We have partnered with the Isle of Wight walking festival, and have many exciting ideas about how we will be looking to grow the challenge! From Nick Barwick who took just an incredible 12 hours and 8 minutes to run the challenge and was first to cross the finish line - to our other challengers who took a bit longer, some out on the course for a staggering 36 hours - we think you are all winners.

Training Walks

Training Walks - Get Fit & Train with Us!

One of the best ways to get ready for one of our challenges, is to take part in one or more of our organised training walks. Get a 'feel' for your challenge ahead and build up that base fitness, joining us on day and night walks in London and the North/South Downs. Led by experienced Action Challenge leaders, these training walks are also an excellent opportunity to get advice on training, equipment and nutrition - as well as meeting like-minded 'action challengers'.

British Gas Treks Britain

We are pleased to announce our corporate Partnership with British Gas this year, bringing 6 challenges to their employees across the UK.

Events are tailor made, each holding a 10k, 1/2 Marathon and Marathon length trek, available for all the family. A close relationship has been developed since our British Gas cycle Britain series in 2012 and we are looking for some even bigger and better events this year.

Congratulations Cyclists!

Last week our Marie Curie Cancer Care fundraisers took to two wheels and cycled an epic 700 km from Vietnam's Ho Chi Min City across the Mekong Delta raising over £190,000. Our 47 riders pedalled through wilderness, small villages and towns and across the boarder into Cambodia - finshing in the shadow of the ancient Angkor Wat. We are hugely proud to have been part of such a fantastic fundraising effort.

Mccc Vietbodia

With just 5 days to cover the distance between Vietnam and Cambodia our riders showed a huge feat of determination, strength and team spirit helping each other to cross the finish line. It was a great week and Action Challenge would like to congratulate every one of our challengers in both their cycling achievements and fundraising success.

We have many more great fundraising challenges in store with Marie Curie Cancer Care - click here to find out how you can be part their team!
