The UK Ultra Series is in full swing!

Isle of Wight 16 - Congratulations!

As our final challenger stepped across the Isle of Wight Challenge finish line - 36 hours and 1,400 participants later on Sunday 1st May at Chale recreation ground - the first in our 2016 Ultra Challenge series came to an end; and what an incredible way to kick start the series!

A fantastic achievement to all who took part - we hope you got home safely and are now recovering! Official Finish Times & certificates will be available Wednesday 5pm. Keep posting your photos & video #IOWChallenge!

Corporate Events for 2016


In 2016 our Ultra Challenge Series will raise over 7.5 million for our 500 participating charities and our Series Partners some of which include; Alzheimers Society, GOSH and Cancer Research UK.

Consisting of 5 fantastic endurance events, the series takes in some of the best scenery around the country and sees thousands of participants tackle the Full 100km distance or a Half or Quarter Challenge as either an endurance walk or ultra marathon run.

We believe that taking part in the Ultra Challenge Series is a great way for you and your colleagues to raise money in one go for your Charity of the Year and really helps raise the charity’s profile within the business. Over the years we have seen hundreds of corporate teams take part including teams from HSBC, Flight Centre, Barclays, Chevron, P&O Cruises and Travis Perkins and whether you’re a start up or a Top 100 company, we’ll make it a special event for your team. Each event has a fantastic route, whether it’s along the Thames Path from Oxford to Henley or up and up and onto the stunning South Downs from Eastbourne to Arundel, making the routes challenging and varied but perfectly achievable with some training and support. Training Walks in 2016

Prepare for your UK or International Challenge by going on our training walks! Get the 'feel' for the challenge ahead and build up that base level of fitness!

Led by experienced Action Challenge leaders, these training walks are also an excellent opportunity to get advice on training, equipment and nutrition - as well as meeting like-minded 'action challengers.' Whether you've signed up to one of our Ultra Challenge Series or an International Event, our training days will be perfect for your training!

London Day Walks - 2016

Setting out from London's Blackfriars Bridge to Richmond along the Thames Path - this day walk is a great training challenge to test your feet, legs and kit across 20 miles of the Thames Path - join us and meet our team.

London Night Walks - 2016

A great way to prepare for our 100 KM challenges - testing your mind and body when it's not used to being tested! By head torch we venture across London from Blackfriars to Richmond setting off at midnight.

North Downs Day Walks - 2016

  • 31 July

Our training walk follows 14.5 miles of the North Downs Way from Guildford to Dorking - across the beautiful (and hilly!) Surrey Hills! A great test for anyone taking on any of our hillier challenges! 

ETA Start: 10:00 ETA Finish: 15:00 - 17:00

South Downs Day Walks

  • 13 March - Clayton to Rodwell (14 miles) 
  • 12 June - Southease to Eastbourne (19miles)

We have two fantastic routes taking you across the South Downs - ideal for anyone wishing to test out their walking ability prior to an Ultra Challenge.

Training Weekends

Our training weekends are the best way to prepare yourself physically and mentally prior to tackling one of our Challenges, and they are a great way to meet other trekkers, the Action Challenge team and our fully qualified Mountain Leaders.  They're also a brilliant excuse to also test out your kit and equipment on a mountain, against the elements!

We have a number of Training Weekends in the Peak DistrictSnowdonia and the Breacon Beacons spread across the year, from early Spring until September, so there should be a weekend to suit you. We also run Snowdon Night Time Summit weekends as a great way to prepare for the summit night on Kilimanjaro. They are also great for those taking on the 2-day Iceland Ultra Challenge in 2016!

We are looking for 100 past participants to take on this unique climb - different to our other climbs, you will have the opportunity to become part of a large team who are taking on the climb together, and will get an exclsuive package and discounted climb!

The Iceland Ultra Challenge - NEW date 2016

Our latest Ultra Challenge takes us to beautiful Iceland to trek 2 Marathons in 2 Days on a beautiful trail through mountain, lake, valleys and passes.

Our July 2016 proved so popular that it sold out within 2 weeks. So we've launched a second departure - from 26 - 29 August 2016 when 200 adventurers will take on this challenge. Raise money for charity, enjoy walking as part of a group of like-minded people and admire the stunning terrain from the lunar landscape of Afangagil, past roaring Waterfalls and crystal clear Rivers  through to Thorsmork where we will transport you back to Reykavik to celebrate your achievement with a hearty dinner and party.

This is the event with a similar set up to our Ultra challenge will see a fully supported trek including two nights of camping and the option of flights included. Full rest stops including hot meals on route as well as drinks and snacks and the option to extend your stay for a day and night to go whale watching, sightseeing and relax in the warm waters of the Blue Lagoon.

Kilimanjaro Evenings


The Kilimanjaro Team will be running Open Evening's throughout 2016 - come along to find out more about climbing with us.

Our Kilimanjaro expert team will be hosting the next open evening on Jan 2016, for anyone who is considering climbing Africa's highest mountain and is looking to take on the challenge in 2016 or 2017!

Hosted in London, the Kilimanjaro team will start the presentation at 7pm so please arrive around 6:45. We will be discussing how you can climb with us either as part of a group climb or a bespoke private event covering everything from routes, the best time to climb, altitude, training, kit and equipment. The team will also be on hand to answer any questions PLUS special offers are available to anyone who signs up to a group climb on the night!
