Scope are behind a number of great events with Action Challenge! Scope works with disabled people and their families at every stage of their lives. From offering day to day support and information, to challenging assumptions about disability and influencing decision makers – everything we do is about creating real and lasting change.
We believe that a world where all disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else would be a pretty incredible place for all of us. Together we can make it happen.
At Scope we understand that being a parent doesn't come with a manual. That's why when parents like Mark discover their child is disabled, we want to offer advice and support at what can be a very anxious time.
We offer a range of services tailored to meet the needs of fathers. We know that men often find it easier talking to a total stranger than those closest to him, so our Scope Response helpline and Face2Face groups are vital.
"I'm much more accepting of our situation now. I know I don't have to do it all on my own, which is how I felt before I called Scope" - Mark, Charli-Mai's Dad.
Mark knows just how effective Scope can be at supporting Dads, 'With the Dad's group, we're all in the same boat. We all meet up and it's a lot easier to speak to another bloke'.
Mark believes his relationship with Charli-Mai is stronger than ever. With the funds you raise we can continue to provide support delivered through Scope Response and Face2Face groups to Dads and parents.
