Rock & Little Navajo falls - 15 km
Today’s challenge takes us up to the village of Supai where we will meet a tribal elder for a special Havasupai Tribal Blessing, an event which very few people outside the tribe have the privilege to witness.
After this morning’s unique experience, we have lunch and head on through the heat to the ‘new’ Navajo Falls for a chance to cool off in the waterfall. Here, hidden behind the veil of cascading water is a ledge from which we can leap into the turquoise pool below. After plenty of waterfall fun, we head on, via a side trail to Carbonate Canyon, a narrow side gorge where miners from the early 1900s found precious minerals within the canyon walls. After a long, exhilarating day, we head back to our camp for the night.
