Join Cancer Fund for Children on an awe-inspiring 100km African Tribal Trek adventure in Tanzania and support the vital services we offer to children living with cancer in Northern Ireland.
A unique opportunity to trek far away from the tourist trail and deep into the heart of the Maasai lands. This ten day adventure with five days of trekking is a fantastic escape into natural Africa. We explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its volcanoes, forests, wildlife and Maasai people as well as journeying through evergreen forests and savannah grasslands.Together we trek along the volcanic rim of Empakaai, with Lake Emakat glittering in the crater beneath us before we set up camp where we eat and sleep under the African stars. We follow trails well trodden by generations of Maasai herdsmen as we make our journey, climbing the undulating paths leading us around the volcano. Back in Arusha, we have plenty of time to explore and find souvenirs before a celebratory dinner and party to mark our fabulous trek into the heart of Africa.
