DAY 1

Depart UK

We depart from London for our overnight flight to Moscow.

DAY 2

Mineralny Vody and Terskol

We arrive in Moscow and change terminals for our two hour domestic flight to Mineralny Vody. On arrival, we transfer to the town of Terskol located on the edge of the breathtaking Baksan Valley. At our hotel and we meet our team of guides who will be with us for our journey. This afternoon we have a full briefing and organise our gear for the climb.

DAY 3

Acclimatisation Trek - Terskol peak

We leave the luxury of our hotel and set off on for an acclimatisation walk up to Terskol peak. This will be your first taste of climbing inthis beautiful mountain range and as group,we walk to the world famous Terskol observatory for break taking views of the skies and the land around you. We will trek back down after lunch at the peak and spend the evening in our hotel.

DAY 4

Acclimatisation Trek - Tscheget peak

Today we head up to the Tscheget peak 3400m overlooking the town of Tscheget. The trail snakes up the side of the mountain before reaching the summit where we stop for lunch. From here you have beautiful views of the twin peaks of mount Elbrus located in the distance. After lunch we descendagain to spend the evening at the hotel before the next day of the challenge.

DAY 5

High Camp

We have an early start today as we head to the base of the Mountain with great views of the twinned peak of Mount Elbrus looming over the Caucasus mountain range. From here we take the ski lifts up to Garabash hut 3800m for lunch. We then take our first walk on the mountain departing High Camp for our afternoon hike to 4300m.

DAY 6-7

Pastukhov Rocks and Rest Day

Today see's us prepare for the our summit attempt. As a group we trek up to the Pastukhov rocks located just below the smaller summit peaks. As a group this trek will take a few hours before heading to our hut for an evening rest. The following day will be a rest day to prepare for the climb to the peak.

DAY 8

Elbrus Summit

This is a long and tough day. We wake very early to prepare for our summit attempt. The focus is on a sustained climb across the glacier to the saddle between the two summits at 5416 m. where the route steepens as we climb the next couple of hundred meters to the ridge. The final slope is an easier climb and in less than half an hour we reach the summit. Standing on the roof of Europe, weather permitting, we will be looking out across the magnificent Caucasus range. We return to our mountain refuge and rest after a long hard day.

DAY 9

Reserve Day

Dependent on the weather on the mountain for your challenge, this day is either another opportunity to climb to summit, or will be a free day for you in the town of Terskol.

DAY 10

Flight Home

We leave early in the morning for our return flight from Mineralny Vody to Moscow . Here we catch the onward flight back to London.
