Our challenging Burma trek takes you to the Shan highlands, across farmland, tea plantations and paddy fields, with some steep climbs to ascend. Over 5 days we hike more than 80km, passing through isolated hill tribe villages, observing the traditional way of living and staying in distinctive overnight accommodation in traditional, working monasteries. Our efforts are rewarded with picturesque views of valleys and hills filled with historic and religious marvels, wonderful temples and friendly locals. On the final day's trek, we descend to the beautiful Inle Lake, with its stilted villages, floating gardens and leg-rowing fisherman, where we can finally relax after our tough hike. We end the challenge in the capital, Yangon with colonial architecture and the impressive glimmering Shwedagon Paya.
