overview

On this exhilarating 6 day ride through Nepal we have the once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the birthplace of Buddhism and camp beneath the snow-capped Annapurna mountains. We cycle a total of 300 km, crossing the plains towards the Himalayan foothills where we begin to climb a tough 34 km into the mountains past waterfalls and a stunning lush gorge. The mountain skyline dominated by the scared Machapuchare and Annapurna mountains awaits us as we peddle past the Kali Gandaki River at Ramdighat and explore the charming town of Pokhara. After visiting young Buddhist monks and riding through glacier carved valleys, we form a peloton to make a 32 km descent all the way down to Pokhara. Just before our celebratory diner at the side of Pohara’s lake, we will receive a warm welcome from the children of a local orphanage.

This ride through Nepal is fully inclusive! After registering you will be provided with a challenge pack with all essential information on for your hike. If you are raising money for a charity, Action Challenge will sort out all formalities for you, as well as offer you pre-challenge briefings and training weekends in the UK. As a team we will board a flight, ready to take on this cycling adventure of a lifetime!
