Prior to our climb, we stay at the charity’s Chem-Chem Campsite, located on the lush green slopes of Kilimanjaro by a stream. Staying at Chem-Chem gives an off-the-beaten-track experience of village life among the Chagga tribe. This will prepare us for our climb and give us a glimpse of village life. It is those village children and many like them who will benefit from our sponsorship. Our 7 day Lemosho Route trek follows a route from the western side of the park, and approaches the summit of Kibo via Barafu Camp and Stella Point. Acclimatisation allowance combined with varied topography and features along the way, make it one of the most interesting ascents of Kilimanjaro and on reaching the summit you will feel on top of the world!
